Portrait of a British female ATA (Air Transport Auxiliary) pilot. The British female pilots ferried RAF aircraft during the second World War. I stumbled upon a story of the role women played during WWII and I wanted to honor them, because very little is know about these courageous women. This portrait is part of a series of four paintings.
