Belgian artist and photographer
I started drawing and fishing when I was a child. I studied graphic design, fine arts, and photography at Sint-Lucas Paviljoen in Antwerp (Belgium). After living in the south of France and later in the Seychelles, our family resettled in Namur, Belgium.
Since January 2026 I retired as graphic designer. I can now fully concentrate on painting, which has taken on an increasingly important role in my professional life since 2017 when graphic design started to change. I like to travel and explore the world (preferable on my motorcycle). My large format paintings and water colors are made after my reference photos and plein-air sketches.
I like to tell stories in my paintings. Even if the sea is my favourite theme, anything can be interesting which is why you will discover so many different subjects in my art gallery. I love painting people, which are the most complex subjects. I am fascinated by the play of lights and shadows.
A passion for art… a passion for fly fishing
I started fly fishing when I was 17, and it quickly became the only fishing method I practiced. I discovered salt water fly fishing in the Seychelles in 1992, visiting family.
Eventually me and my wife moved to the Seychelles, where alongside freelancing in graphic design and illustration, I also worked as a fly fishing guide for five years. I have a true passion for the ocean, its creatures and surroundings, which is why this theme is so prominent in my work.

Materials and framing, ordering, payment, delivery
The best materials guarantee long-lasting works
Whether it is acrylic on canvas or watercolor on paper, I always work with the best paint on the market: Winsor & Newton, Professional quality.
Carefully prepared pure linen canvases are stretched on sturdy pine frames. Linen is much more durable than cotton. Each painting is protected by 4 coats of high-quality anti-UV acrylic varnish to ensure saturated and long-lasting colors. All works on canvas have finished edges and a stainless steel hanging wire. They are delivered with a certificate of authenticity, dated and signed by my hand.
For my watercolors I use Arches fine grain, a thick, 100% cotton, acid-free paper that ensures stable colors for years to come.
Framing, packaging, and shipping
The paintings are delivered without decorative frame, but I can offer this service upon request. Do not hesitate to contact me to discuss framing.
My works are shipped and insured worldwide (GLS, UPS, standard mail), packed either in custom-made wooden crates or in sturdy cardboard sleeves. Due to import tariffs, increased shipping costs and complex administration, I only ship to the USA when the buyer organizes shipping.
Orders and payments
Payment upon ordering. I will send an official invoice by email. Upon receipt of payment (PayPal or bank transfer), the order will be shipped and you will receive the tracking information.
